15 amp or 20 amp?
Both Hubbell models come in 15A (1,875W) and 20A (2,500W) versions at 125V. Choose the version that matches your branch circuit and project, and have your electrician confirm before ordering. Point Pod Connect is rated 15A, 1,875W total.
GFCI protection
Point Pod has no built-in GFCI protection. Plug its 6 ft cord into a grounded, GFCI-protected outlet, or connect it to a GFCI-protected circuit, in accordance with NEC 406.5(E) and local codes. For a plug-in option, our Class A GFCI adapter (US$29.95, UL and cUL listed) connects between a grounded outlet and the equipment plug. It restores power automatically after an interruption, so use it only where that suits the connected equipment.
Hubbell units are hardwired by a qualified electrician, who confirms the GFCI protection your circuit and local code require. GFCI requirements depend on the circuit, location and local code, so ask your electrician what your installation needs.
